The vineyard is located in Paso Robles’ Estrella District. The warm Mediterranean climate allows Cabernet Sauvignon to fully ripen, developing prominent black cherry and dark fruit characteristics over a long growing season.
Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve
Fruit for this reserve wine is sourced from three distinguished vineyards: Estrella River Ranch, Cass and San Juan North. The well-drained alluvial and sandy loam soils, combined with the vineyards’ deep inland locations, create the ideal terroir for intensely flavored wines with excellent structure and naturally balanced acidity.
TASTING NOTES
A seductive deep brick red with crimson hues, this Reserve offers aromas of red cherries, cassis, cedar, warm gravel and graphite. With time, the nose continues to evolve, revealing plum, leather and tobacco accents. The wine is in constant motion, playfully dancing across the palate to finish with fine, dusty tannins.

Cass Vineyard
San Juan North Vineyard
Paso Robles
Once home to farms and cattle ranches, Paso Robles is a warm expanse of sunbaked, oak-studded hills. Due to its proximity to the Pacific Ocean, vines see consistently hot, dry days with plenty of sunshine, followed by fog and coastal influences that cool the vines down at night.

San Juan North Vineyard
Located in the San Juan District sub-AVA, this vineyard site is situated on San Juan Creek’s younger river valleys, with alluvial terraces and fans as a tributary to the upper Estrella River . Home to the Cabernet Sauvignon vines that are at least 40 years old, the vineyard produces expressive, intensely flavored fruit.
