ABOUT THE VINEYARDSSmith & Hook showcases Central Coast Cabernet Sauvignon at its finest. The fruit comes primarily from the San Antonio Valley in the southern end of the Santa Lucia Mountain Range. This highland valley, though just miles from our winery and estate vineyards, provides a significantly warmer climate similar to that of the neighboring Paso Robles appellation. Fruit also comes from our Ste. Gabrielle vineyard in Paso Robles. Paso Robles is becoming justifiably well known for Cabernet as the warm inland climate helps produce the rich character of Smith & Hook wines. The climate and soils of these areas are ideal for Bordeaux varietals like Cabernet Sauvignon. |
